It's that time once again for the big reveal of the gorgeous CMK kit! The August kit is Vintage Lace and is gorgeous! I enjoyed working with it and it just seemed to go on and on, in fact after creating 4 layouts, a frame and 3 cards, I still have some paper left over. :) Thanks for taking a look!
Hi there! I am horrible about keeping up with this thing. I really need to do a better job. :)
So, what's new here:
I decided to redo my scrappy space once again. I found these really cute baskets at Michael's for 50% off so I bought some. I even went back the next day to get the rest because I like them so much! I haven't filled all of them yet, but it's my goal this week.
we got Skye and Ashlyn moved into Meghan's room. It's got a fresh coat of paint and Kara painted some really cute clouds on the ceiling. I found a nice dresser for Ashlyn at a yard sale for $5 and all it needed was a fresh coat of paint, and it's perfect for her! Ashlyn loves the room and is really excited about sharing a room with Skye, but doesn't want to sleep in there alone, so until Skye gets home on the 12th, it will sit empty. At least all her stuff is in one place now and not spread all over the house.
I have a miserable summer cold. I haven't felt this awful in a very long time. Kara was down for a few days with it last week, and I sure hope today is the worst of it. I didn't sleep a wink last night, and it was hot and muggy on top of it, so Kenny didn't get much rest himself.
I made a difficult decision last week and have stepped down as a DT member for Creating Inspirations. It was not easy, and it was nothing more than me feeling that it was time to let go and move on. I love the incredibly talented girls on the team, and Beth is a doll! I will still hang out, but just not as a DT member.
That's about it for now. Nothing too exciting happening over here. :)

These are the rest of the layouts I completed during the weekend for the cybercrop over at Treasured Scrapbooking. I made my first 6x12, a size I have wanted to try for awhile now, and it was more difficult than I thought... I am used to having space, but I liked it and I plan to do some more sometime in the near future. Check it out! Not only did I get so many layouts done, but my name was the one drawn for the Grand Prize drawing and I won a $35 gc to spend at the Treasured Scrapbooking online store! WOHOO! :)
On a sad note, Skye is leaving in a few hours to go spend some time with her grandparents and her dad. It's always hard for me. I feel like a huge part of me is missing. She'll have fun, but it's still hard. I can't imagine how it's going to feel once the kids grow up and start leading their own lives. Boo Hoo.
CHA starts tomorrow... my wallet is not ready for all the fun new things that will start rolling in. AAKKK!!! I really wish I could be there. I am hoping for the Winter show. It would be great to say I went at least once. I would love to meet scrappy friends and actually hang out with girls who really get it.
Today is rainy and gloomy, but we really needed it. It's nice to get out of the 90's/100's for a few days. I just don't think I could have taken much more. Especially having to wear the stupid walking cast which seems to heat me up even more.
Have a wonderful day!

This kit is gorgeous! It's called Vintage Lace and it is soft and pretty with some vintage and hip touches. This kit includes some of the new BasicGrey Infuse papers, a gorgeous overlay from Hambly, cardstock with an edge from Bazzill and plenty of pretty embellishments! Kits go on sale August 1st. Members will get their notice on or around July 29th.
I should be getting this baby soon, and I can't wait!

I am beyond thrilled that I got 4 layouts and a card done today! It's been a long time since I have spent most of the day sitting down and scrapping and it was great! I have to say that if it weren't for the cybercrop over at TreasuredScrapbooking, I doubt I would have been so productive. So thanks to the DT over there for such fun challenges! I plan to (hope to) do some more challenges, so I hope my mojo and creative flow stick around a bit. :)
I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

I sat down with my fun Pink.Sugar.
Pop. stamps and made a few cards yesterday. It's been almost 2 weeks since I have created anything scrappy and it felt wonderful to dig through my stash and play with some paper, ink, and scissors. I hope I found my mojo! I had some random ideas and decided to run with them and I like the end result.
It's been unseasonably HOT here!!! I used to love the sun and heat, but that was when we lived on the West side of the state when a 90' was rare and welcome. It's been in the 90's and 100's here for well over a week now with no end in sight and it's miserable. We aren't even breaking records which shocks me. Give me some temps in the teens and I would be happy right about now. It's much harder to cool down than it is to warm up. I guess I am just not used to it. Thank goodness for AC and our basement, which is much cooler! It would be awful without them. Thanks for looking and enjoy your day!
