April CMK 'He Said She Said" kit!
Gosh, another month is almost gone and you know what that means... time for the CMK kit reveal! This months "He Said She Said" kit is full of bright cheerful colors, a cute stamp and even a fun mini album. :) There are products from Prima, Jenni Bowlin, Scenic Route, Paper Trunk and more. If you don't have a membership, then you will be able to purchase your kit starting tomorrow, April 1st here. They are sure to go quickly, so order early!
In other news... we got a Wii yesterday!!! It was a fluke chance of being in the right place at the right time, but I am not complaining. We have been wanting one for months and months and each time I go to a store I look to see if they have any, and the one day I wasn't going to look there it was. Life sure is funny. The kids had a blast playing it yesterday! Kenny and I only played a bit, we both did some boxing and it was sure fun. :) I think we are going to have a new addiction around here! I also think that I am going to pass up on some scrappy stuff to get some more games. eek! So much great stuff is still rolling out and it's going to be a challenge, but I can do it... or try to!
It's Spring Break for the kids this week. Kara starts her Lifeguard training class today and will complete it on Friday night. She's looking forward to it!

My Acrylic Album work
Here is a card and a mini album I created using the March goodies from My Creative Album. This is the album we were given this month and after sitting on it for weeks I decided to use some sweet pics of Skye and Ashlyn. They are so close and loving most of the time and I hope they continue to be just as close and loving as they grow.
I also created this card with some of the fun little acrylic chips we were sent. I created a how-to for this over on the MAC blog which can be found here.
Aside from these projects, there is nothing else going on. It's cold today and snowing again. I have been feeling a bit under the weather so I have been just veggin'.
I really need to find my mojo! Has anyone seen it?
Have a great day! :)

I am really slacking :)
Happy Easter! I hope you had a wonderful day with family or however you spent your Holiday. We didn't do anything other than veg. I don't feel well today, but I did manage to make a nice turkey meal. It's a cool rainy day, perfect for just relaxing. The girls and I stayed in our jammies all day. Skylar and Ashlyn were excited with their Easter Baskets and have been playing with their goodies today. Skye had a fun Spongebob inspired basket with a Spongebob whoopie cusion and lego set, and Ashlyn a Littlest Pet Shop basket with a VIP and a pet for her collection. (I am so lame I didn't even take a picture. Shame on me.) The 3 big kids got some energy drinks and candy.... very lazy, but easy. ha!
I miss my Grandma Nami dearly today. Easter was one of her favorite holidays (I think because of all the candy... heehee). Often she would host a family meal and Easter just ins't the same without her. She's been heavy on my mind lately, but I am not as saddened by her absence now and find comfort and joy in place of tears and sadness. Every time I am with the ladies in the water exercise class I think of how much my grandma would have enjoyed it. I truly believe she is there with me and it's comforting.
Speaking of grandmothers, my last living grandmother (my dad's mom) has been in the hospital since Friday. I just found out late last night. She's 89 and a very strong woman, full of life and spirit and generally pretty healthy. Apparently she has been blacking out and they have linked it to her heart, so she is going to have a Pacemaker implanted sometime tomorrow. The doctors are amazed at how strong her heart is for her age and I am faithful that everything will be well with her, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried. I have a peace about the surgery and if for some reason she doesn't make it through I know that she'll be fine with that. Recovery is what I am worried about for her. It's not going to be easy and she doesn't like to be down. I wish I could make it over to see her, but I just can't swing it right now. I did talk to her today and she sounded tired but perky. So if you read this can you please say a prayer for her? Her name is Margaret (Marge). Thanks so much.
The project is something I created for My Acrylic Albums. We were sent several fun goodies to play with this month, this plaque being one of them. I knew I wanted to try something different and push myself since I have been in a rut and I did. There is a lot of detail on this that took plenty of time and I puttered on this for about 3 days. It didn't turn out like I envisioned but I had fun making it. Ashlyn is thrilled with the end result and that's really all that matters, right? I have a mini album I need to work on and a few small doo-dads as well that I have ideas for. That's my goal this week.
The snow photo was taken on Friday! So much for Spring right? It was beautiful though, and by the time it ended we had about 4". I just love the snow and I feel blessed to have had one more opportunity to sit and watch it dance to the ground. It made my heart happy. Yesterday was gorgeous as well, the sun was out and it was in the low 40's and that also made me happy. :) The best of both in two days. We are due to get more snow this week, but I am sure it won't be like we had on Friday.
I could ramble on and on but I have kids who would like to spend some time on the computer tonight, so I'll be nice to them and get off of here.
Have a super week!

my new scrappy space
Two weeks ago Sunday my dh decided late morning that he wanted to redo the downstairs. As in right now. We'd been discussing it and it really was just a matter of doing. So off to the store we went to buy paint. We wanted warm but cheerful and ended up with a Paprika and Honey Wheat. The orange was much prettier in the store and less "in your face" but I am getting used to it. I have learned to just rest my eyes on the yellow wall when the orange gets to be too much. Once home we pretty much just put everything into the laundry room and dug in. Kara, Nathan and Kenny painted while I tried desperately to make some order out of the huge mess that had been created in the laundry room... most of it my scrappy stuff. I also assembled my scrappy storage cubes. Fun. It beat painting though. ;) I spent most of the week after just putting stuff away.
Anyway, here's my new space and our "new" area downstairs. The TV/sitting area used to be where my scrappy stuff is and my old scrappy area is where the TV and furniture are now. I really like my new little area and it's so great to have everything in one central space and not all over the place. I even did some more major purging, for the 3rd time in 2 years, and this time I spared nothing that I haven't used. It's sickening how much I had accumulated and it makes it easier to pass things up that I am on the fence about (although I am sure I will still have to have several items that I really don't need because they are so pretty ;)). I am planning to have a yard sale soon and I hope to get rid of all of it.
Nicole tagged with the “7 random/crazy/weird facts about you” thing, so here are mine, even if they aren't all that interesting ;) :
1. when I wake up the first thing I do is drink a glass of water.
2. I do not like to eat or drink from plastic ware, but I will if there isn't another option (but it gives me the heebie jeebies.
3. I don't eat beef or pork. I haven't liked it as long as I can remember.
4. I don't like milk unless it's in a Mocha. That's the only time I have it.
5. I cannot sit and watch an entire movie all at once (except on rare occasions). I usually watch half and then never finish or watch the 2nd half the next day.
6. I drive with my left foot, something I acquired last summer and just haven't switched back to my right.
7. I always keep a few windows cracked in the house, even during the cold winter months.
Now I need to tag 7 girls, so here they are:
Kim
Jan
Tanisha
Amanda
Wendy
Simone
Karen
Have a great one! I am going to make dinner then it's off to the Y. :)

still here, CMK March kit projects, and an update on my ankle
I have been neglectful of this blog lately. I have been in a funk and have spent minimal time on the computer lately. I haven't wanted to scrap or do much of anything I normally enjoy. I sure hope this passes soon.
These are my projects made with one of the March kits from CMK, the Spring Fling kit. These are such awesome kits and the DT rocked the projects once again. You can check out there work as well as some of the projects the members have uploaded here.
I do have some good news that I am happy about. Thursday was my last day of Physical Therapy! Yahoo!!! It's been such a part of my life lately and I am glad to be done, but I will miss the people there. I know that without it (and them)I would never have made such awesome progress. I seemed to have turned a corner about 2 weeks ago and have been improving in leaps and bounds since then (although I still can't do leaps or bounds. lol!). I have been crutch free for 2 weeks now and even though I have put them away I am still not used to walking so upright. It's an odd feeling, and I have become a sloucher, but it's nice to be "normal" once again. However, my back has been giving me problems and I wake up with not only a stiff ankle, but with a sore back so I seemed to have traded one thing in for another, but it's to be expected. I bought a Yoga ball and it's helping a bit but I think a visit to a Chiropractor is in my near future.
Even though I am done with physical therapy I am no where near healed. I still have a long road ahead of me. I still need to regain my stamina and strength and hopefully get to a point where I don't walk with a limp. I get around pretty well but I still have a lot of pain and strain even just walking around the house by the end of the day. I have pushed it a bit here and there and am able to make it around the stores, but I feel it the next day. I will still have good and bad days and I just need to find a balance to get more good than bad. I had 3 bad days this week and I dislike them. A lot.
I signed us up for the YMCA about 10 days ago and we've made good use of it. We have talked about rejoining for awhile now but the need for me to continue low impact exercise gave us the push we needed. I took a water aerobics class last Wed. and it was tough, but not too bad. I worked at a slower pace and opted for the class with the "mature" ladies. I think it's going to be beneficial. My plan is to go each Monday, Wednesday and Friday as I can. My plan is to hit the weight room/cardio area at least twice a week on the days I am not doing the water aerobics. My workout there is limited; 7 minutes on a bike, working my way up as I can handle it as well as working up resistance which is more important at this point than time, as well as some light lower body weights and just overall balance. It's fun now that Kara is old enough to go up there because she's been encouraging me.
Well that's about it for now. I just wanted to do a quick update. I have more stuff to post so I will work on that the next few days. ;)
Have a super week!
