maisy

Hi! We had such a productive weekend, got a lot of things done around the house, especially yesterday when we spent a much of the day cleaning up the front yard. We raked the leaves that were remaining from Fall, cleaned all the dead stuff from the flower beds, edged the yard, pulled some pesky weeds, mowed andadded some Weed-n-Feed and swept along the curb. We also filled all the bird feeders. I love living on a corner lot, but it is twice the work keeping it neat and clean. At the end of the day it's amazing how a little goes a long way, and I feel so productive and clean- if you know what I mean. My body is screaming at me today though. Every time I move something pops or cracks. Oh the joys of aging. lol

I made some time to scrap today. I wanted to give this very cool sketch from The Memory Nest a try. I found it intimidating at first, but once I got an idea, I ran with it and absolutely love the end result. The twist for the sketch was to do something you have never done before or outside your comfort zone. I picked the comfort zone- the photos are at an angle, which is something I rarely do. It worked out well for this sketch. I added a few more blocks to the bg, but i think it balances out nicely.
