CMK March Sneak Peeks!

CMK is going to offer 2 kits in March! They each feature a fabulous Pink Paislee line and are packed with greatness! The best part is that as a kit member you can purchase BOTH kits this month. :) I selected the Spring Fling kit to feature this month, but I also snagged an Office Lingo kit. You are going to love these! I am busy working on my projects for the kit and am having a blast creating!

Speaking of Pink Paislee, have you signed on to Live Pink yet? If not, you really need to get over there and check it out. It's free and easy and full of fun stuff for sure! :)

Also please join us over at CMK tomorrow for the Spring Fling Crop! I hope to see you there! :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

I've been slacking

So much for trying to update every few days. ;) I haven't really been feeling in the mood to scrap or even hang out on the computer too much lately, but thankfully I have found some mojo and created today!
One is a class re-mix project for Heart In Hand Scraps. It's my version of Roree's 'Sisters photo cube' class. I decided to use some of my recent favorite fun pics of Kara. She loves to take pics of herself and she does a great job doing so. lol If you haven't been over to HHS to check out the classes, you should! You can easily adapt each class to create something that is uniquely you, even while following the easy step-by-step instructions.
The photo frame was just for fun. I have been trying to use things in my stash and I have had this frame forever and these darling papers I printed out from a digi kit over at Prima Hybrid motivated me to create! And not only did I create this project, I took a risk and just applied for the Prima Hybrid team! I figured why not, I have nothing to lose and maybe I'll just get lucky! (That would be a dream!) Anyway, good luck to all those out there who applied. I don't think my chances are good because my digi skills are minimal, however, just giving myself a chance is good enough for me. I really like the fact that I can print out these gorgeous papers, so I will continue to add to my collection as I work on learning more about how the digi side of scrapping works. I will create a purely digi page someday soon, I am working on it. ;)
Lastly is a card created for this weeks card sketch over at Di's blog. It's so great to see how everyone interprets the sketch and it's fun to see the diverse cards each week. It's the best part of Wednesdays in my opinion.

Tomorrow I will have to share sneek peeks of the gorgeous March CMK kits. I have been slacking. They are beautiful and I am hoping to dig into my assigned kit after PT tomorrow. I picked up one of each and they are both fabulous! Oh, and the DT is hosting a 'Spring Fling' crop over this weekend. You can check out the details here. We'd love to have you stop on by!

Have a great one!

More scrappiness!

Oh happy night! I have been scrapping a bit today and these are the projects I created. Once again they are inspired from Paper Bella, more specifically the Sweet Bella E-Zine. I am up to date on all 3 of the projects thus far and have really stretched my imagination creating something totally different than what I would "normally" create. I am pleasantly surprised with how much I like the wall hanging. I really wasn't digging it as I started in, but with a good look through my stash and just letting it "fall together" as it may, I ended up creating something great and using up my stash in the process. Good stuff I tell ya! There is another project tomorrow which I am looking forward to. :)

Ashlyn isn't feeling well and she was pretty sick last night. She's starting to bounce back thankfully now that we scared her with the fact that if she doesn't start coughing the crud out of her lungs then we are going to have to visit the doctor. ;) Works every time. This did it for her and she has made it a point to cough and blow her nose without a battle today. I really wish I would have taken a picture of the poor girl last night though. Her nose was so red and so raw and swollen and she just looked miserable. I am really surprised that it isn't bleeding. She was cranky as all get out this morning, but as the day has progressed has been in much better spirits. I will keep her home with me tomorrow as well, she stayed home Friday too. I do have physical therapy tomorrow, but she can just veg on the bed and play her DS while I am exercising.
I am not feeling so well myself and as the day has gone on I am feeling even more run down. I am waiting for a phone call and then I am going to crash and burn for the night.
Have a great one!

Scrappy goodness!

Here is my card for the Di Hickman Feb. #1 sketch. It's titled "true love". I had a lot of fun playing with paint and felt and using some of my most favorite papers ever! I am a HUGE Fancy Pants Designs fan and I tend to hoard it instead of use it. I have been working on that. ;)

Today I made my first project from the Sweet Bella E-Zine. I love it! I would have never thought of this on my own and am delighted to have learned something new and easy. :) My head is spinning with ideas now and I see many more of these great comp journals in my future! I need to go back tomorrow and work on the first project. It's a cute and fun one, too!

That's about it. We are getting our last snowfall tonight, well at least for the next week or so. We're due for about 4 more inches and then by afternoon tomorrow it will warm up and might even rain a bit. The temps are going to get into the low 40's on several days which should start to melt everything. I love the snow, but I must admit that I am sick of trying to get around in it. Spring will be a nice change of pace.
Have a good one!

just an update

I decided to do this: I am giving Sweet Bella E-Zine a try this month. I have heard some good things about it and am open to trying new and different things, so I just signed up. I am a day or two late, but we'll see what happens.

This is cool! I actually was the winning name drawn for this fantastic Prima giveaway! This box is gorgeous and I am so excited and lucky to have been the winner! AND it's going to be filled with some Prima stuff, too! I really needed a pick me up and boy this sure did the trick!

My ankle has been acting up and I have had to take a step back, but I hope it's just for a short time. It's really swollen for unknown reasons... probably just because I have been using it more and more, and probably more than I should be, however I don't feel as if I am overdoing anything. I am still quite conservative and try to rest as much as needed. I think the big issue is that I don't have any pain anymore which could be making it easier to overdo. I must admit that I have been irritable. The scar itches and burns, but my therapist says that it's a good thing because this means the nerves are growing back. I still can't sleep through the night, even with some pain pills made just for this, but I can get a few hours in at a stretch which is better than nothing.

Well I am off to try to get some rest and catch up on some scrappy mags. :)

my first ever mini-album!

I have had a phobia about mini-albums. When I received my first DT album from MyAcrylicAlbums on Thursday I was so worried that I wasn't going to be able to do it. I was thinking that the owners made a mistake picking me for their team and they'd soon realize it. Well, after sitting here staring at the awesome album for a day I just decided to go for it and pray that it all went well. Much to my delight, it came along nicely and quickly and I actually had a great time putting it together! I thought it would take forever (which I think was about 50% of my fear), but really it was just a few hours and the details were the longest part. It was fun to work with a new size and carry a theme throughout something. I am thrilled with the end result and now have another scrappy goal to check off my list. *yay* Now I am eager for next months album! :) So, all of you out there reading this who share the same phobia I had, I challenge you to just go for it! You'll be pleasantly surprised. Pick some paper from your stash that you have been saving in hopes that the perfect use will come along and just dig in! If you decide to go for it, I'd love to see what you've done! Please leave me a comment and link it up. I will take a peek! Better yet, enter the MyAcrylicAlbums 'A New Beginning' February contest and get a chance to win a $25 gc!
