Pretty nails Boo style

Hello! :) I am here today sharing a layout I created as this weeks guest designer for Stick it Down. I got to work with a great double page sketch that you can find here. This is my take on it:

Head on over to the blog and check out the great work from the team using this sketch. You can also link up your layout for a chance to be a guest designer, too.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Temperamental

Hello! :) I am here to share a layout I created for the newest challenge at Color Me Scrappy. Challenge #54 features a very different color palette. I was not sure what I was going to do with this when I first saw it. I scrap with a lot of color, so this was a HUGE challenge for me, but I accomplished it and I like the end result.  Unfortunately I was unable to get the photo in time for it to be featured on the blog. The team totally rocked this challenge, so be sure to head on over to the CMS blog to check out their amazing work with this challenge.

Oh yeah, there is a twist for this challenge, and it is to use a "tribal" element. I totally spaced this, but you know what, it's all good.

Thanks for stopping by! I am looking forward to some great football this weekend. I am a HUGE Patriots fan and I am looking forward to watching them beat the Broncos. I am also a Seahawks fan- I am looking forward to them beating the 49ers. My husband is a 49er fan, so GAME ON! hahahaha!

Playing with fire

Hello! :) Can I just say that I love how this layout turned out?! lol I used the single page sneak preview sketch from Stick it down as my inspiration. I did a major purge of my scrap room last month and I came across and old mask/stencil from Heidi Swapp (you know, the masks that were released years and years and years ago before they were even "cool") and I almost tossed it into the donation pile, but something stopped me, and I am so happy that I still had it.

When I first saw this sketch, I was stumped. I kept thinking frames. I have plenty of those. So after I created the flame I pulled all the frames I had out and started laying them out. I liked how it looked. I then added some vellum in between a few of them. I also used a part of the photo I cropped as a base for the title. I just added some vellum on top.

Here is my layout. You can find the sketch here

Watergun fight

Here is a double page layout that I created using another of the sketches from Stick it Down. It has been a long time since I have created a double page layout and this sketch was just what I needed to get my mojo in gear. I have several "sets" of these photos featuring 4 of the kiddos so I will certainly be playing along with the double page sketches in the future, I might even do another layout using this sketch. :)
You can find this sketch, as well as the single page and card sketch by visiting the preview link here.

A Thank You card

I was doing some blog hopping (something I love to do, but never make enough time for) and I came across a new sketch challenge site called Stick it Down. They will be offering card, one page and double page layout sketches. They officially kick off in a few days, but for now have a sample of what they will be showcasing, and I decided to play along. Here is a card I made using the card sketch (click here for the sketches).

I also created a layout based on the double-page sketch, but I still need to photograph it. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend! :)

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2014! :) I hope the year ahead will bring you all many wonderful memories and blessings.

Challenge #53 is live at Color Me Scrappy. I love the colors in this combo- just up my alley. I did get a little bit carried away on my take on the sketch. lol It's fun though and that's what matters, right? The twist is to use the sketch. You can find that by clicking here. I hope you'll join us this month! :)
