It's been a bit since I have created a layout, and even longer since I have had some creative mojo without the use of a sketch. lol This was a fun layout to create- these papers were made for these photos of Ashlyn. :)

Happy 16th Birthday Ashlyn! {card and explosion box}

I can hardly believe that my youngest baby turns 16 today. It does not seem possible that she has graced our lives for 16 precious years. Where did the time go? *sigh* 

I have wanted to make an explosion box for awhile now, and I thought this would be the perfect time to step out my comfort zone and try something new. This project turned out so much better than I ever could have imagined and I am sure Ashlyn is going to love it!

I rolled paper to make 16 candles and then added some  3 Girl JAM Peach crinkle ribbon from the Tie Dye 3 Bundle to create the "flames". 

the card: 

I used some of the beautiful 3 Girl JAM Aqua Splash crinkle ribbon from the the Caribbean Splash bundle on the card and for several bows on/in the box.

Of all the places in the world for any of my children to connect, I never would have imagined it being Bahrain!

Meghan's ship (USS Essex) has moored once again in Bahrain for a few days, and her and Skylar (who is stationed in Bahrain) are spending precious time together. Meghan's ship was there for a few days last month, but Skye had to work so they only got to say a brief hi to each other.

This gem was waiting for me when I woke up this morning (they are 8 hours ahead of us here). :) They are spending the entire day together as well as some time tomorrow. I only wish I was able to be there with them, but just the fact that they are together is good for them as well as this momma's heart.

I am up with 3 Girl JAM today featuring the beautiful Caribbean Splash bundle. The Coral Crush and Aqua Splash ribbons bring out the colors on the floral print papers perfectly and provides a nice tropical finish to this card.

This is my second post today. :) This layout was inspired by The Memory Nest's Make it Monday No. 44 sketch. I pushed paper around a lot while I was creating this and was not satisfied until I simplified, and now I love it!

I haven't been playing with paper as much as I had hoped this summer, but I made some time to scrap this week. I  have had a creative block (my brain is spinning with ideas, but I just cannot focus. lol) so I turned to The Memory Nest and the Make it Monday sketches. 

This layout came together quickly using the Make it Monday 46 sketch as inspiration.

Hello Sunshine {card}

Hi! :) I am up on the 3 Girl JAM blog today with a card I made for my daughter, Skylar, who is stationed in Bahrain. She is a ray of sunshine and I call her Sunshine, so this is the perfect card for her.

I used the Sunflower crinkle ribbon from the Harvest Bundle for the bow, as well as a blueish button from the Vintage Button pack.
