sending love {card}

Today I am sharing a card I made featuring the Little Lovelies Love Letter Bear (say that three times fast- lol!) Digi Stamp, which just so happens to be the freebie this week at Craftin Desert Divas. You'd better hurry though, because there will be a new one tomorrow morning. This is the first shaker card I have made and I like how it turned out- expect to see more of them from me. ;)

I printed the Digi image twice on flat cardstock and layered it; I first colored the bear, cut her and the heart out and then layered them on the colored envelope. I cut the heart out of both layers and used my Fuse tool to create the pocket in which I added some True Love Sequins. I used the Fancy Frame Dies to create the background rectangles and added some more True Love Sequins.

January and February {calendar pages}

Much to my surprise, I haven't jumped in on all the Planner fun yet, although I do have several of them I use regularly. I did however decide to buy a cute little 8x8 blank calendar and stickers from Hobby Lobby when I was there a few weeks ago when they were half off.

I created January and February thus far. Nothing super spectacular about these pages- it's more just for me to have a quick visual reference by my desk. :)

supplies:
blank calendar, month and date stickers: Hobby Lobby
Jan. pp and stickers: Doodlebug
Feb. pp: Pebbles
sequins and twine

legwarmers

Hello! I am so excited to share my first layout as a  member of The Memory Nest sketch team! This is my go-to sketch site and I was thrilled when Leslie asked me to return. :)

This layout was created using the Make it Monday No. 51 sketch. As soon as I saw this sketch I immediately knew which photos I wanted to use. A friend of mine posted a photo of some legwarmers and I asked her to make a pair for my sweet granddaughter, Aubree. I thought her samples were adorable, but once they arrived and I put them on Aubree, they were even more darling than I could have imagined! lol

supplies:
cardstock: Colorbok, pp: Simple Stories, stickers: Doodlebug, Pebbles and MM, enamel dots: Simple Stories, puffy stickers: AC Dear Lizzy, doily, paint, and machine stitching

Head on over to The Memory Nest blog to see the sketch and all the fabulous DT creations! I do hope you will join us.

Here is what I made..

I colored the  Snow bunny Digi Stamp with colored pencil. I added some blue lines with a marker on the snowballs and under the bunny, then covered these with some dimensional glistening snow writer. The background and tag top were cut with the Fancy Frames Dies and the snow hills were cut on glitter paper using the Stitched Scallops dies.

be mine {card}

Craftin Desert Divas January Digi Challenge is live! The theme this month is Love. I created this card using the adorable Kissy Puppy Digi Stamp. I printed the bowl one size larger and then added the cute pup on top with some dimensional foam. The hearts, bones, and puppy were colored with watercolor pencils and I attempted to keep him a little soft and shaggy looking.

I used the Fancy Frame Dies to cut the backgrounds, as well as one from the Stitched Scallop underneath a frame base.
