catching snowflakes

Hi! Today challenge #2 went live for Scrap & Play. This time it is a word challenge- super fun, but this one really challenged me (that's the point, right? lol).

Here is my layout. I had an idea to try a "negative" title using some of the fabulous stencils from Hazel & Ruby. This challenge prompted me to think out of the box and step out of my comfort zone. I like the end result, but it was a challenge for me to keep all the white and not throw a bunch of color on it. Growth. lol

here is a closer image of the title:

I do hope you will come play along with this challenge! There is an awesome prize this month! Click here to check out the challenge and the beautiful examples from the team.

MOM {card}

Hello! I am up on the Clear Scraps blog today sharing a card I made for my mom using one of the lovely Butterfly Send it Clear Cards.

Here is an image of the front of the card and a peek of the coordinating envelope. For more photos and details head on over to my post on the Clear Scraps blog.

kiss the balloon

Time sure has been slipping by quickly lately. I was up on the Clear Scraps blog again the other day, but failed to share this layout on my own blog. You can see the inspiration behind the bubbles by clicking on the Clear Scraps blog here.

This layout cracks me up! Ashlyn was pretty stoned, if you will, from the pain meds she was taking in the hospital after her surgery in early March. She has no recollection of kissing this balloon, and even denied doing so until I showed her the pictures. lol So glad I was able to capture this. :)

Happy Mother's Day to all the momma's out there!

Altered frame- Curtsey Boutique

Hi everyone! :) Today I have a project to share with you- just a day late. ;) Yesterday my first project as a design team member for The Curtsey Boutique was featured.

I love love love this new Parisian Map Ruffled flower- it is gorgeous! I pulled the colors from the fabric and for visual interested created a quilted look. I then adorned the project with some fun gold sequins, which I also adore. The wooden button is from The Curtsey Boutique store as well. I painted it gold to match.

Isn't the flower gorgeous?!

You can find these beauties, as well as many others, but visiting the Curtsey Boutique's Etsy store here

A view from above

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing the first challenge of a brand new challenge site, Scrap & Play. When Tammi asked if I would like to be a guest designer for her first challenge I jumped on the opportunity!

Here is my layout for the first challenge, which is a sketch challenge. You really need to head over to the blog and join in- there is an amazing prize!!! Just sayin'.

Thanks for stopping by. :) Happy May Day! Speaking of which, did you ever make flower cones to fill with flowers and leave them on someones doorknob when you were younger? I remember doing this for several years. If I had been thinking ahead, I would have randomly picked a few neighbors to surprise with some nice flowers.
