sweet baby blues

Hello! :) I am sharing a layout that I made using the April "Be Our Guest" Sketch Challenge featured on The Scrap Room blog. I had a lot of fun with this sketch and I added a few little tweaks to it to add my personal touches, but the bones are still there. This is my sweet granddaughter, Aubree.

I apologize for the quality of this photo. It's hard to capture the true colors of white and pastels and I am not skilled enough to do so. lol

supplies:
cs: Hobby Lobby
pp: Bella Blvd.
stickers: Bella Blvd. and Doodlebug
die cuts: Bella Blvd. and Jillibean Soup and Heidi Swapp
twine: Trendy Twine
mist: Tattered Angels
doilies
enamel dots: Michael's

summer at Chelan {MIM No. 58}

Today brings another wonderful sketch from the Memory Nest, Make It Monday No. 58.

I was initially going to create a card with this one as it was an intimidating sketch to me, however I decided to face the challenge and I love the end result! I am still struggling a bit with all the clean white, as I did with the last layout, but I can live with it. ;) And I must say that it is so much fun to "shop" my stash.

supplies:
cardstock: Colorbok
pp, die cuts, enamel dots, and stickers: Simple Stories
button twine

yeehaw! {MIM No. 57}

Hi! :) Today I am sharing the layout I created using the new Make It Monday No. 57 sketch from the Memory Nest.

I am not loving the way this layout turned out. I think there is too much white for my liking. In retrospect I should have added some mist, but they all can't be our favorites, right? I decided that at the beginning of the year that I would not purchase any new scrappy supplies to create layouts since I have SO MANY awesome papers in my stash that I just "had to have", although there have been a few times, such as this, where I didn't have the "perfect" pp that I had in mind and I had to make do. It's been tough, but so far so good. I haven't purchased any new collections or papers of any kind since right after Christmas and I am honestly surprised that I made it this long. lol

supplies:
cardstock: Colorbok
pp: MME
Washi tape: unknown
foam stars: Pink Paislee
glitter stickers: Doodlebug
machine stitching

Head on over to the Memory Nest blog for all the details on this sketch and the fabulous work created by the team.

Praying For Your Strength & Courage {cards}

Hello friends!  Perfect Papercrafting Tools teamed up with Impression Obsession and I went a little crazy making cards. lol I am sharing two additional cards that are not featured on the Perfect Papercrafting Tools blog lineup today, but please be sure to visit the blog because there is an awesome prize up for grabs that you are going to love- not to mention all the beautiful eye candy from the design team.

Impression Obsession has such an amazing array of beautiful stamps, dies, and other items. When I made my stamp selections, I had my daughter Ashlyn, as well as all the amazing IBD warriors heavy on my mind. My goal is to make more cards and send them out to those who are suffering and need a little encouragement.
