summer at Chelan {MIM No. 58}

Today brings another wonderful sketch from the Memory Nest, Make It Monday No. 58.

I was initially going to create a card with this one as it was an intimidating sketch to me, however I decided to face the challenge and I love the end result! I am still struggling a bit with all the clean white, as I did with the last layout, but I can live with it. ;) And I must say that it is so much fun to "shop" my stash.

supplies:
cardstock: Colorbok
pp, die cuts, enamel dots, and stickers: Simple Stories

yeehaw! {MIM No. 57}

Hi! :) Today I am sharing the layout I created using the new Make It Monday No. 57 sketch from the Memory Nest.

I am not loving the way this layout turned out. I think there is too much white for my liking. In retrospect I should have added some mist, but they all can't be our favorites, right? I decided that at the beginning of the year that I would not purchase any new scrappy supplies to create layouts since I have SO MANY awesome papers in my stash that I just "had to have", although there have been a few times, such as this, where I didn't have the "perfect" pp that I had in mind and I had to make do. It's been tough, but so far so good. I haven't purchased any new collections or papers of any kind since right after Christmas and I am honestly surprised that I made it this long. lol

supplies:
cardstock: Colorbok
pp: MME
Washi tape: unknown
foam stars: Pink Paislee
glitter stickers: Doodlebug
machine stitching

Hello friends!  Perfect Papercrafting Tools teamed up with Impression Obsession and I went a little crazy making cards. lol I am sharing two additional cards that are not featured on the Perfect Papercrafting Tools blog lineup today, but please be sure to visit the blog because there is an awesome prize up for grabs that you are going to love- not to mention all the beautiful eye candy from the design team.

Impression Obsession has such an amazing array of beautiful stamps, dies, and other items. When I made my stamp selections, I had my daughter Ashlyn, as well as all the amazing IBD warriors heavy on my mind. My goal is to make more cards and send them out to those who are suffering and need a little encouragement.

snake wrangler {MIM No. 56}

Hi! My shoulder is feeling a lot better so I have been able to spend some time creating. This layout is created for the Memory Nest Make It Monday sketch No. 56,

My granddaughter latched onto this snake and would take it everywhere we went. We got a lot of second glances and odd looks when people first saw here with it. Several of Ashlyn's oncology infusion nurses would freak out and cringe when they saw it.  lol Sadly, we lost it somewhere and were never able to locate it.

supplies:
cs: Hobby Lobby
cs: Crate Paper
die cuts: Websters Pages
stickers: BG, Pink Paisleem and unknown
twine
enamel dots: Michael's

a {late} Valentine's project

Hello! Today I am sharing a Valentine's Day project I made for Skylar who is stationed in Bahrain. I generally make a little something for each of my girls for Valentine's Day, but this year the only one I managed to create something for was Skylar, and that is because I made it in early January and mailed it out with her birthday box. I had the best of intentions to create for my other children, however injuring my shoulder made it impossible. I'll make it up to them next year. ;)

These little cuties made her day and she has them hanging around her mirror so she can see them everyday. I just adore this collection and it made these so fun and easy to create.

supplies:
pp and die cuts: Pebbles Inc.
dies: Craftin Desert Diva's and Papertrey Ink
twine: Trendy Twine and Target
other: mini clothes pins, buttons, foam dots, and paper bag

it's a celebration {card}

Hi all! I haven't been around because I fell a couple of weeks ago and injured my right shoulder. It's feeling much better now after some rest which I am immensely thankful for. It was a rough go for several days and I am ready to push that behind me.

I had colored this image for the TCBJ Birthday Blog Hop featuring CDD which was last weekend, but before I could complete it, I hurt myself so I had to forgo my participation. I completed this card yesterday and am sharing it today.

I printed several of this adorable Little Lovelies Mouse Cake Peeker Digi Stamp because I knew I would be building it in layers. I colored the mouse and left it as the base. I fussy cut all the icing and added some cream colored puff paint. The cake was also fussy cut, colored and added to the base image as well as the icing pieces. I did the same with the party hat. The extra time it took was well worth it.
