Wow! So far I have been blessed this year, I sure hope this is a sign of many more great blessings to come. :) I have been invited to be on Di Hickmans Card Sketch team! yay! I am really excited about this, too. Here's the card I created for the DT sketch back on Dec. 19th. I used the super cute December CMK kit for this.

And here is a picture of my ankle 17 days post-op. As you can tell I still have a lot of healing to do, but it'll get there. (I have tape over the scar to give it some extra protection while it's still closing up.) This is the inside of my right ankle. I am fortunate to have a small scar, my greatest concern about the surgery was having a huge scar, not for vanity purposes, but for the simple fact of wearing socks and shoes or pants that would rub against the scar and "bother" me. The dr. took note and she said she would do what she could, and she did. I am extremely thankful for this. She thought she would end up going higher, but I thank the Good Lord that she didn't have to. My angels were with me, that's for sure.

I hope you had a great weekend! We woke up to a few inches of unexpected snow which was nice. I was up early before anyone else and I decided to take the opportunity to read and watch the snow. It was quiet and serene as I watched the snow dance through the sky between pages of my book. It's been a few months since I have read and decided yesterday that I needed to start reading again, even if just for a few minutes each day. So glad I decided to dive in to a great book again, I didn't realize how much I have missed reading until I started again. Funny how that works.
